Age Pension Guide now available
An updated Age Pension Guide explaining the terms and conditions that apply to the Age Pension has been released by the Federal Member for Wide Bay, Llew O’Brien.
“The Age Pension rules can be complicated and confusing, so this Guide is produced to ensure Wide Bay pensioners have access to information that is clear and easy to understand,” Mr O’Brien said.

NATIONAL ROAD SAFETY WEEK 2018
Federal Member for Wide Bay, Co Chair of the Parliamentary Friends of Road Safety, and Queensland Chair of the Black Spot Road Program Llew O’Brien, today said National Road Safety Week, from 30 April to 6 May 2018 reminds everyone to drive safely on the road.
In 2017, 1227 people were killed and 35,000 seriously injured on Australian roads. National Road Safety Week honours those we have lost and pledges to make the roads safer for everyone.

Another Medicare record for patients in Wide Bay
The latest Medicare data from July 2017 to March 2018 shows Australian patients have set a new record for the highest GP bulk-billing rate ever achieved, in this period.
Federal Member for Wide Bay, Llew O’Brien confirmed the number of services bulk-billed for patients visiting their GP across Australia has reached an all time high of 667,093 and in Wide Bay has grown to 21,856.

Federal Member for Wide Bay, Llew O’Brien today encouraged everyone in Wide Bay to pause and reflect on Anzac Day, to honour the service and sacrifice of all Australian men and women who have served in the defence of our country.

2018 influenza vaccines now available in Wide Bay
Residents in the Wide Bay electorate who are most at risk of getting sick during this year’s flu season can now access a free influenza vaccine under the Federal Government’s National Immunisation Program.
