Taking Action to Reduce Violence against Women and Children
The Liberal Nationals Government is taking further action to reduce domestic violence against women and children.
Backed with $100 million in funding, the Coalition Government has now launched the Third Action Plan of the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010-2022.

Outdoor broadcasting boost for Noosa Community Radio

nbn construction to start to connect Noosa communities sooner
Federal Member for Wide Bay, Llew O’Brien today said construction of the nbn will start in Noosa communities before the end of the year, ahead of the rollout schedule.
“The Liberal Nationals Government prioritized the rollout of the nbn to underserviced areas and I’m pleased that construction will soon begin to deliver the nbn to approximately 23,300 premises across Noosa,” Mr O’Brien said.

Llew O’Brien announces funding for Cherbourg’s Ration Shed Museum
Federal Member for Wide Bay, Llew O’Brien today announced that Cherbourg’s historic Ration Shed Museum will receive $237,000 from the Liberal Nationals Government.
The funding will be used to develop and deliver education programs, repair and refurbish buildings, and build capacity to strengthen the organisation.

Federal Member for Wide Bay, Llew O’Brien recently visited Castra Residential Aged Care, which received $14,157 from the Coalition Government towards the provision of additional car parking spaces and improved access to its buildings.

Maryborough Motorcyclist Club receives $11,658 towards new shed
Federal Member for Wide Bay, Llew O’Brien and Minister for Regional Development, Fiona Nash, today announced the Liberal Nationals Government will provide $11,658 towards the construction of a new shed at Maryborough’s Action Park.
“The funding will be used to build a new multi-purpose shed that will provide space for a meeting room, training facility, and administrative services, as well as storage for the Club’s equipment,” Mr O’Brien said.
