Wide Bay’s Community Survey 2018 – return date extended to 20 July
With around 100 surveys being returned each day and more than 1500 people already participating both online and on the survey form, Federal Member for Wide Bay Llew O’Brien has extended the due date until 20 July.
“I’m really pleased with the response to Wide Bay’s Community Survey 2018 and want to give everyone the opportunity to have their say on a range of local, state and national issues,” Mr O’Brien said.
“The questions in Wide Bay’s Community Survey 2018 canvass opinions on a range of policy fronts, including taxation, cost of living, jobs and the economy, welfare, transport, community safety, education, border protection and national security, health, seniors, environment, energy, and community and social issues.”
The survey has been delivered to all letterboxes in Wide Bay and is also available on Mr O’Brien’s website www.llewobrien.com.au/survey. Copies can also be obtained by contacting Mr O’Brien’s office on 4121 2936 or 1300 301 968.
“Wide Bay is a terrific place to live and I want to hear from local residents about what we can do to make it even better,” Mr O’Brien said.
“The survey asks about support for ideas and proposals that sometimes come before the Parliament that would impact on individuals, their local community and our region,” Mr O’Brien said.
“Wide Bay’s Community Survey 2018 gives people an opportunity to have their say and will help me to better reflect their views in the Federal Parliament.”
The survey should be returned to Mr O’Brien by folding and sealing the survey so the reply paid details are on the front and it should be returned by 20 July 2018.
“The results of the survey will be made publicly available and published on my website, www.llewobrien.com.au.”
