Tourism Noosa appoints CEO
Federal Member for Wide Bay Llew O’Brien today welcomed the appointment of Steve McPharlin as CEO of Tourism Noosa and said he brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and contacts into the new role.

“Steve has lived in Noosa since 2008 and has worked in senior leadership positions in a range of international and domestic tourism organisations,” Mr O’Brien said.

“Tourism Noosa, its membership and the Noosa community will continue to benefit from Steve’s energetic and dynamic approach as he builds on his previous work as Noosa Tourism Chairman and moves into the CEO role.

“Noosa is unique, iconic destination, renowned for its natural attractions, pristine beaches and national parks.  Noosa also enjoys an international reputation for tourism excellence, which is a credit to the tourism industry, the hotels, restaurants, retailers, tour operators and most importantly its people, who deliver world class service.

“I enjoyed a good relationship with the former CEO of Tourism Noosa, Damien Massingham and I have no doubt that will continue with Steve as we look for new opportunities to work together to further enhance Noosa’s reputation as one of Australia’s top tourism destinations.”
