Gympie Chamber of Commerce to boost business networking
New audio visual equipment will boost Gympie Chamber of Commerce’s business networking events following a $2,521 contribution from round four of the Liberal Nationals Government’s Stronger Communities Programme, Member for Wide Bay Llew O’Brien announced today.

“The funds will go towards new technology and communications equipment, which will enhance the quality of audio and visual presentations for members and guests at the Chamber’s monthly meetings,” said Mr O’Brien.

“These events provide local businesses with an opportunity to hear from other professionals and business leaders on a variety of topics and issues.

“The functions are increasing in popularity and the new equipment will give all attendees a better experience when they listen and learn from mentors and coaches, and participate in Chamber meetings and functions.

“The advantage of business networking benefits everyone, and provides knowledge, support and often new opportunities for local businesses to grow and thrive,” Mr O’Brien said.

The Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Programme is designed to improve the resilience of communities by providing capital grants for small projects of between $5000 and $20,000. Up to $150,000 is made available to each electorate in the funding round.
