LLEW’S FREE AUSTRALIA DAY STICKERS

13 January, 2026

Federal Member for Wide Bay Llew O’Brien is offering Wide Bay residents who love Australia Day and want to show their pride in the Australian National Flag a free ‘Celebrate Australia Day 26 Jan’ sticker.

“In my first speech in Parliament, I said, ‘I am proud to be Australian, and I love the Australia that I grew up in.’ Australia is the greatest nation on the planet, with a proud history and great potential for the future,” Mr O’Brien said.

“It’s important that we unite to celebrate Australia, and one of the best ways we can do that is to display our Australian National Flag during Australia Day celebrations on 26 January”.

Australia Day is our nation’s biggest annual civic event. It is a day to reflect on our history, our diversity, and our achievements. It is also a day to respect and celebrate the sacrifices and hard work of those who helped build and defend our country and the opportunities that they have created for us.

“Whether you plan to celebrate with loved ones and friends at a public ceremony, or if you choose to commemorate the occasion at home, I hope you fly the Aussie flag with pride, stay safe and enjoy the day with your fellow Australians,” Mr O’Brien said.

“Our Australian National Flag represents our people who are known throughout the world for our generosity, fairness, compassion, tolerance, decency, courage and humour. Our flag also reflects the ideals of all Australians and the pride we have in our nation that is felt in every community across Australia.”

If you live in Wide Bay and would like a ‘Celebrate Australia Day 26 Jan’ sticker, please call Mr O’Brien’s office on 4121 2936 or send an email to [email protected] to arrange for one to be sent to you.

WELCOME TO WIDE BAY

In the spirit of Australia, I acknowledge all citizens who contribute to making our nation the greatest on earth.

I acknowledge our defence force personnel, past, present, and emerging, for their service to our nation, and particularly those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the defence of Australia.

I also acknowledge the Australian taxpayers who, through their hard work, pay for the infrastructure, health, education, and emergency services that keep our proud nation healthy, safe, and prosperous.
