Lighting upgrade for Noosa Dolphins Rugby Club

Federal Member for Wide Bay, Llew O’Brien today announced the Coalition Government will invest $20,000 towards the installation of new lighting at the Noosa District Rugby Club, home of the Noosa Dolphins.

“The new LED lighting will enable night training and competitions, and I’m pleased the Coalition Government is contributing to this project that will benefit Noosa communities,” Mr O’Brien said.

“The lighting, that will be cheaper to operate, will improve the amenity of the field, providing a safer, less hazardous playing environment and playing conditions at night.

“Better lighting will also increase the playing time so that training, matches and competitions can be played in cooler evening temperatures.

“The Club also anticipates that the new lighting will attract other sports to use the oval and allow it to host other events and activities.

“The Noosa Dolphins is a great Club in an idyllic setting and the new lighting will further enhance its reputation for excellence.”
