$2,500 to support Noosa Vietnam Veterans Group

Federal Member for Wide Bay Llew O’Brien today announced the Coalition Government will provide $2,500 to the Noosa sub-Branch of the Vietnam Veterans Association of Australia to purchase portable fridges.

The grant is being made available through the Veteran and Community Grants (V&CG) program.

“The V&CG program supports a range of activities that promote healthy lifestyles for veterans, including assisting veterans to live at home independently, support carers, and financial assistance for services and projects,” Mr O’Brien said.

“Our nation’s veterans deserve to have their contributions recognized.  They have bravely and courageously served Australia with pride and distinction, securing peace and freedom for our nation.

“Many veterans continue to serve their communities and help others. This grant is one way in which we show our gratitude for their service to Australia and support their ongoing contributions to the community.”

WELCOME TO WIDE BAY

In the spirit of Australia, I acknowledge all citizens who contribute to making our nation the greatest on earth.

I acknowledge our defence force personnel, past, present, and emerging, for their service to our nation, and particularly those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the defence of Australia.

I also acknowledge the Australian taxpayers who, through their hard work, pay for the infrastructure, health, education, and emergency services that keep our proud nation healthy, safe, and prosperous.
