Volunteer Grants Program 2024-25
Our communities wouldn’t be the same without the time, effort and energy that volunteers devote to helping other people. Volunteer grants are an important way of supporting the important work volunteers do.
The Volunteer Grants Program 2024-25 is open, and eligible not for profit groups are invited to apply for a grant of between $1,000 and $5,000 to:
- Purchase communication and computer equipment items to help their volunteers;
- Fund volunteer run activities that support children’s health and wellbeing;
- Purchase items or services for the main purpose of supporting volunteers under 18 years, or adults whose volunteering activities support the development and wellbeing of children.
Expressions of Interest for Volunteer Grants are required by 5pm, Monday 6 January, 2025. If your organisation’s Expression of Interest is successful, you will be invited to lodge an application.
Key Dates
6 January 2025 – Expressions of Interest close
26 February 2025 – Application period opens
12 March 2025 – Application period closes
March to June 2025 – Assessment of applications by the department
June 2025 – Successful and unsuccessful applicants notified
July 2025 – Letter of Agreement issued to successful applicants
July 2025 – Activity start date
30 September 2025 – End date of grant commitment
