$11.2 million upgrade for Bruce Hwy and Wide Bay Hwy intersection

Member for Wide Bay Llew O’Brien, and Minister for Resources and Northern Australia Senator Matt Canavan, have welcomed the Federal Government’s Budget commitment of $11.2 million to upgrade the intersection of the Bruce and Wide Bay highways at Bells Bridge.

Additional $15 million to support farm businesses in QLD

  • An additional $15 million in Coalition Government funding for Drought Assistance Concessional Loans is now available for Queensland farm businesses to 30 June 2017.
  • $50 million has now been allocated to Queensland for Drought Assistance Concessional Loans since the Farm Business Concessional Loans Scheme opened on 1 November 2016.
  • Since the scheme opened in November last year, 33 Queensland farm businesses have been approved for loan funding of almost $20 million.
